Running the Display Encoded Passwords Utility

Run this utility when you have forgotten your user name or password. The coded user names and passwords for all users in your system are displayed when you run the utility. If you do not have access to all of the utilities, you can still run this utility.

Do not run this utility unless you are instructed to by a technical support representative.

To run this utility:

Instruct all users to exit the software.
Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.
Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.
Select File > Display Encoded Passwords. The Userinfo window is displayed. The decoded user names and passwords for all users are displayed in the window.
If you do not have access to the utility, type DECODE in the Name and Password fields to access it.

Click Close.
When the technical support representative tells you to, restart the software.
