Getting Started > Using the Workspace
If your monitor resolution is less than 1024 x 768, or if you prefer to have several software windows stacked on top of each other, use Classic Workspace.
Classic Workspace:
Several windows are open at the same time. Each window is stacked on top of the previously opened window; however, only the top window is active.
Displayed beneath the Title bar and enables you to select commands that open various features of the software. For more information, see Using the Main Menu Bar.

Displayed beneath the toolbar.
Can be positioned to display beneath the Main Menu bar or anywhere within the workspace and enables access to various software features. For more information, see Using the Power Bar.
Active windows:Active windows:
The name of the active window is displayed beneath the toolbar. The title of the active window is displayed at the top of the window. Drag and drop icons are displayed at the bottom of the window and enable you to access frequently used features and operations.
The user name of the person currently logged in, the system date and time, and the software operating mode are displayed at the bottom of the workspace in the Status bar. The Reminder Notes for Today text is displayed in the Status bar when there are reminder memos for the current date.
Icons in the status bar indicate the presence of batched electronic statements, letters, reports, claims, statements, and memos for today. If the icons are not visible, floating over the empty space displays a message stating "No Batched Letters," "No Overdue Reports," and so on. Clicking on an icon displays the window associated with completing the particular task.

The number of windows that can be opened at one time using Classic Workspace is limited by your computer’s resources.
To see the windows that are currently open:
Click Window on the Menu bar.
At the bottom of this menu is a list of all open windows. The active window is selected.
You can change active windows by selecting another window from the drop-down list.
