Setting Appointment Properties

You can set the color in which an appointment is displayed when it is:

To restore the system defaults, click Restore Defaults in the Appointment Properties window.

To set properties that dictate how appointment information is displayed in the Daily Appointments window:

  1. Select from the following options:

  2. Select Scheduler > Daily Appointments.

  3. In any window:In any window:Click Alt + F2.

  4. In the Patient Appointments window:In the Patient Appointments window:Select Daily Appt Book from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu.

  5. In the InOffice window:In the InOffice window:Select Daily Appt Book from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu.

  6. Select Go to Daily Appointments in the Power Bar.

The Daily Appointments window is displayed.

  1. Select an appointment, right-click, and select Properties; or select Properties > Appointment from the Options section of the Express bar or the Options menu. The Appointment Properties window is displayed.

  2. Select an appointment template from the Appointment Template drop-down list.

If you select the Front Office template:If you select the Front Office template:The patient name, patient home and work phone numbers, and scheduled procedural codes are displayed.

If you select the Front Office - HIPAA template:If you select the Front Office - HIPAA template:The patient initials and scheduled procedural codes are displayed. The patient home and work phone numbers are not displayed.

If you select the Back Office template:If you select the Back Office template:The patient name, scheduled procedural codes, and the patient home and work phone numbers are displayed.

If you select the Back Office - HIPAA template:If you select the Back Office - HIPAA template:The patient initials and scheduled procedural codes are displayed. The patient home and work phone numbers are not displayed.

  1. Select one of the HIPAA templates to turn on HIPAA privacy in the Daily Appointments window. For more information, see Setting Daily Appointments Window Privacy.

  1. To change the text color for patient names, patient home phone numbers, patient work numbers, provider identification numbers, and office codes, click the square next to the appropriate item. The Color window is displayed. Select a color and click OK.

  2. When selecting a text color, ensure adequate contrast with the other scheduler window colors.

  1. Select a format to display patient names in the Daily Appointments window from the Name Format section.

  2. Select a format to display patient phone numbers in the Daily Appointments window from the Phone Format section.

  3. Select an option:

  4. To display the tooth number and surface information associated with the scheduled procedure in the appointment time slot:To display the tooth number and surface information associated with the scheduled procedure in the appointment time slot:Select Show Tooth and Surface.

  5. To display the patient age in the appointment time slot:To display the patient age in the appointment time slot:Select Show Patient Age.

  6. To display the patient age if the patient is younger than a specific age in the appointment time slot:To display the patient age if the patient is younger than a specific age in the appointment time slot:Select Show Patient Age, select Show if Age less than, and type the age in the field.

  1. To display a background color in appointment time slots, select a background from the Background Image drop-down list.

  2. To change the background color for appointment time slots, click the square next to the appropriate item in the Background Color Options section. The Color window is displayed. Select a color and click OK.

  3. When selecting a background color, ensure adequate contrast with the other scheduler window colors.

  2. To apply the property settings to all users:To apply the property settings to all users:Select Set for ALL USERS.

  3. To restore the default property settings to all users:To restore the default property settings to all users:Select Restore ALL USERS.

  4. To restore the default property settings for the logged in user:To restore the default property settings for the logged in user:Select Restore Defaults.

  1. Click OK.
