The charting module contains a large number of icons. If you hold your cursor over an icon, the name of the icon is displayed. If you click an icon, a specific tool is opened.
The toolbar at the top of the charting module remains constant; it is the same in every part of the charting module. The toolbars on the right of the charting module are context-sensitive; they change as you move to different areas of the charting module.
You can set basic options in the charting module by selecting Chart > Options.
You can access the charting module from the Patient List window or from the scheduler in the SoftDent practice management software.
To access the charting module from the Patient List window:
Select List > Patient. The Patient List window is displayed.
Select the patient you want.
Click the Chart button at the top of the Patient List window. The charting module opens, and the chart for the selected patient is displayed.
Closing and exiting are not synonymous in the charting module. If you select File > Close Charting Module or click Close on the main toolbar, you close the charting module and return to SoftDent.
If you exit the charting module by selecting File > Exit, you close the SoftDent software, too.
