Submitting Procedures for Pre-Determination

If the patient’s insurance company requires pre-determination for certain procedures in the treatment plan, you can submit the plan for approval before scheduling the procedures.

To submit the treatment plan for pre-determination:

From the Tx Plan window, select a procedure that requires pre-determination.
Right-click the procedure, and select Request predetermination from the pop-up menu. Repeat for each procedure you want to submit.
Click Submit ins Pre-D at the top right of the window. The Submit for Predetermination window is displayed. Submit primary is checked by default.
Select Print form on paper now if you want to fax or mail the request, or Submit electronically now if your office is set up with this capability. The Insurance Submittal Information form is displayed.
Read through the information on the form to ensure it is correct. Enter any additional information as necessary, and click OK.
