Getting Started > CDT Code Support
These instructions are designed for users of PracticeWorks practice management software, v9.x and higher, and provides instructions for downloading and installing the 2024 CDT codes.
If you are upgrading PracticeWorks from version 8.x to 10.x or higher, see the instructions on using the Patch Master utility to install the latest CDT code set. If you are using PracticeWorks, v8.x or lower, see Manually Installing CDT Codes.
To install the 2024 CDT code set:
At the end of the year, PracticeWorks will prompt you to install the new CDT code set. Click OK. The End User License Agreement is displayed.
To delay the installation
for 30 days, click Cancel.
You are prompted again in one month.
Select the checkbox to accept the agreement, and then click Agree. The CDT code set download begins.
When the new codes are downloaded, they must be installed.
When the download is complete, click the Windows Start icon on your computer, and then select All Programs > CS PracticeWorks > Utilities. The CS PracticeWorks Utilities window is displayed.
Select Patches. The Patch Master window is displayed.
Scroll down and select CDT 2024, Install, and then click Run Selected Patch. An End User License Agreement window is displayed.
Select the checkbox to accept the agreement, and then click Agree. When the code set installation is complete, a confirmation message is displayed.
Click OK.
Visit the ADA website (www.ada.org) to find detailed information for the 2024 CDT codes.
