Charting the Patient > Using the Charting Buttons
The PracticeWorks charting module integrates with the imaging software installed on your computer, determining which buttons are displayed in the Image Viewer on the charting tabs.
For example, if you have imaging software installed, the Imaging button is displayed.
Integrating with the Trophy 4.2 Software
If you have Trophy, version 4.2 installed, the Trophy button is displayed on the charting tabs, but the Pan, Ceph, and RVG buttons and menu items are hidden.
When you select an image and click the Trophy button, the Trophy software is launched, but the image is not automatically opened in Trophy. To open the image, you must use the history viewer in the Trophy software.
Integrating with the Trophy 5.x Software
If you have Trophy, version 5.x installed, the Trophy button is displayed on the charting tabs, but the Pan, Ceph, and RVG buttons and menu items are hidden.
When you select an image and click the Trophy button, the Trophy software is launched with the image opened if the image is located in the current image directory. Trophy 5.x images not located in this directory can be opened in the Trophy software through the history viewer.
Integrating with Dental Imaging Software
If you have the imaging software installed, the Imaging button is displayed. The Pan, Ceph, and RVG buttons and menu items are enabled if the panoramic, cephalometric, and RVG hardware components are installed.
When you double-click an image or select an image and click the Imaging button, the image is launched in the imaging software.
You cannot run the dental imaging software in 800x600 mode.
Integrating with 3D Extraoral Imaging
If you have dental imaging software installed and 3D Imaging enabled, the 3D Imaging button is displayed on the charting tabs.
When you select an image and click the 3D Imaging button, the software is launched in 3D acquisition mode.
