E-Mail Image Functionality

You can now create a new e-mail with attached images directly from the charting module. To e-mail images, select images in the Image Viewer, right-click, and select Send image via E-mail.

A new e-mail message is displayed with the images attached as file attachments. The following information is automatically entered as text in the body of the message:

• Practitioner’s name

• Patient’s name

• File name

• Image date

If any CS dental imaging format images are attached to the e-mail, a link to the download location of the dental imaging software image viewer is also included.

To configure the software to include the viewer as a ZIP file when e-mailing images:

1. From the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > CS PracticeWorks > Configuration of CS PracticeWorks. The Configuration of CS PracticeWorks utility is displayed.

2. From the Setup menu, select General Configuration. The General Configuration window is displayed.

3. Select Internet > E-mail > Include ZIP file with KDI Viewer as well as download link. The options at the bottom of the window become active.

4. In the Value field, select Yes, and click Save Entry.

5. Click Close.

• The address field in an e-mail initiated from the patient’s chart is blank so you can enter the address of another doctor; an e-mail initiated from the Clipboard automatically populates with the patient’s e-mail address.
