Creating a New Ortho Contract

Ortho contracts are attached to the Responsible Party for the patient, as indicated on the patient’s clipboard.

Since contracts are not activated until the orthodontic appliances are placed on the patient, you can create more than one contract with different payment schedules, and let the Responsible Party select one.

To create an ortho contract:

  1. From the patient’s clipboard, click Ledger. The Ledger Card window for the patient’s Responsible Party is displayed.

  1. At the bottom of the Ledger Card window, click Ortho Contracts. The Contract Pick List for the Responsible Party is displayed. If there are no existing contracts, the list is empty.

  2. Click Add. The Contract window is displayed.

  3. Add the contract, insurance, and schedule information and click OK. See Completing the Contract Information Section for more information.
