Managing Patient Accounts > CareCredit
The CareCredit window in PracticeWorks enables you to look up account information for patients with an established account, and to fill out an online application form for patients who want to set up an account.
To launch this window:
Right-click an appointment and select CareCredit Integration (patient selected)
Select CareCredit from the Clipboard, Ledger, or Check-out ledger (patient selected)
Select the CareCredit icon from the Toolbar (no patient)
To access account information:
From the CareCredit window, select Lookup by SSN and Zip. The CareCredit Account Lookup window is displayed, with the SSN and Zip fields populated for a selected patient.
If you have the account number, you can also select Lookup by Account No. and enter it in the Account Number field.
Click OK. If the account is valid, the account number and available credit amount are displayed under Information.
To calculate payment amounts:
Select Payment Calculator. The Payment Calculator feature on the CareCredit website is displayed.
Enter the total amount to be financed, and click Submit. The Payment Calculator worksheet is displayed with estimated monthly payment plans and interest rates for the entered balance.
To calculate options for a different amount, enter the amount and click RE-ESTIMATE.
This feature provides estimates to help the patient determine the best financing option. These totals are not binding, and no information from this function is returned to PracticeWorks.
Use the Get Payment Plans button to access a list of payment plan options available from CareCredit.
Available plans are imported directly to the Information section of the window.
