Scheduling Blackout Periods

The PEARL Module enables you to schedule a blackout period.  During a blackout, users cannot log in to the practice using the PEARL application on their device.

Enabling a Blackout Period

To enable a blackout:

  1. From the machine running the PEARL Module Server, launch the PEARL Mobile Admin application.

  2. Click the Blackout tab.

  3. Click Edit Time.

  4. Type the desired times in the Blackout start time and Blackout end time fields.

  5. Click Refresh.

Disabling a Blackout Period

To disable a blackout:

  1. From the machine running the PEARL Module Server, launch the PEARL Mobile Admin application.

  2. Click the Blackout tab.

  3. Select Disable Scheduled Blackout.

  4. Click Refresh.

Forcing a Blackout Period

To immediately disable access to the PEARL Module Server:

  1. From the machine running the PEARL Module Server, launch the PEARL Mobile Admin application.

  2. Click the Blackout tab.

  3. Click Force Blackout Now.

  4. Click Refresh.

Ending a Forced Blackout Period

To immediately enable access to the PEARL Module Server:

  1. From the machine running the PEARL Module Server, launch the PEARL Mobile Admin application.

  2. Click the Blackout tab.

  3. Click End Blackout Now.

  4. Click Refresh.
