Using the Smart Call Integration

You can integrate OrthoTrac with a TAPI-compliant phone system.

When this integration is active, if a phone number is associated with more than one patient or responsible party, a list is displayed. You can then select a contact.  Select a patient to view the patient information window.

Smart Call information is displayed in the following areas:

To configure OrthoTrac to automatically start Smart Call when a staff member logs in:

  1. From the main menu, click Options > Environment. The OrthoTrac Configuration window is displayed.

  2. Click the Miscellaneous tab.

  3. Select one of the following options to start Smart Call with OrthoTrac:

  4. Always

  5. Never

  6. Prompt

  1. Click OK.
