Creating a Claim When Posting Procedures

When you post a procedure code, the software creates a Pre-Authorization, Actual, or One-Time insurance claim, provided the conditions listed under Automatic Claim Setup are met.

After you post the procedure(s) on the Financial Functions — Charges and Payments window, the software creates the insurance claim. Access the claim by clicking the Claim Processing button and selecting the claim from the Claims window. If you need to add a comment or other information to the claim, click the Change button and make your changes.
