Working with Reports > Creating Financial Reports
The Auto Payment Report enables you to obtain information about the status of auto payments made to your practice. You can run a report on all patients who are scheduled to make a payment within a selected range, on all patients who are on a reminder list, or for a specific patient. You can print accounts with payments that are posted, unposted, or both, and you can print information about post-dated cheques, credit card drafts, and bank drafts. The report also lists the authorization number for credit card auto payments and the transaction ID for ACH auto payments.
Only authorized staff members can generate the Auto Payment report. For more information, see Configuring Security for the Auto Payment Report.
To run an auto payment report:
From the main menu, select Reports > Financial > Auto Payment > Auto Payment Reports. The Automatic Payment System window is displayed.
In the Report Selection and Options section, select Auto-payment List or Reminder List. The Auto-payment List prints all patients with payments entered for the selected date range. The Reminder List prints patients with reminder dates in the selected date range.
To print the selected list for only one patient, click Single Patient.
Select whether you want to print accounts with payments that are Posted, Unposted, or both. Select Detail to print detailed information, or deselect Detail to print totals only.
In the Include section, select the payment types to be included in this report: Post Dated Cheques, Credit Card Drafts, and Bank Drafts.
In the Doctors section, select All Doctors or Selected Doctors. If you choose Selected Doctors, use the drop-down list to select the appropriate doctor. This option is not enabled if your practice has only one doctor.
In the Locations section, select All Locations or Selected Locations. If you choose Selected Locations, use the drop-down list to select the appropriate location. This option is not enabled if your practice has only one location.
In the Sub Totals section, select how you want the report to be subtotaled: Do Not Sub-Total or subtotal by Responsible party, Type of payment, or Month the payment is to be posted.
In the Predefined Periods field, use the drop-down list to specify the print period, or enter specific dates in the Starting Date and Ending Date fields.
