Using the Table of Contents

The Table of Contents (TOC) tree runs down the left side of the window. It displays a patient’s name, a list of visits, and objects associated with each visit.

Tip:  Each item in the TOC is called an object.

You can change the width of the TOC if you select the Allow portfolio resizing option on the Display/Print tab of the Preferences window and then restart the program. To change the width, move your cursor to the vertical line that divides the TOC from the primary display area. When the pointer changes to an arrow, click-and-drag to increase or decrease the area displayed.

To hide the TOC, click the Table of Contents button on the toolbar. Click the button again to return to normal view.

The TOC is made up of individual visits. Each visit is identified by type and date. The following default types are for CS Orthodontic Imaging:

Each visit is organized in a tree structure. A plus sign next to a visit indicates that images are associated with it. Click the plus sign, and a list of the images is displayed.

The name of the image identifies the type of image: panoramic, cephalometric, right buccal, and so on. The following example shows a visit in a TOC:

To change the display of images, use the Display Gallery menu. To display a single image in the Image Chart window, double-click an image. To return to multiple images, click the description of the image in the TOC.

Note:  If you select an object and right-click it, more options are available.
