The following new features and enhancements are included in this version of the software:
Support for the CS 9600Support for the CS 9600
The CS 9600 extraoral imaging system features a customizable and scalable design that delivers more accurate scans on the first capture. It includes a live positioning assistant, SmartAuto technology, and interactive positioning accessories. These tools ensure accurate positioning and high quality images. For more information, see Using the CS 9600 Extraoral Imaging System.
Metal Artifact ReductionMetal Artifact Reduction
The new Metal Artifact Reduction (CS MAR) filter is available for 3D exams when used with the CS 9600. This feature reduces the distortion caused by metal from objects such as prostheses, screws, or dental filings. New 3D volumes are displayed with descriptive labels indicating the volume type. For more information, see Using Metal Artifact Reduction.
SmartAuto technologySmartAuto technology
When used with the CS 9600, the software automatically calculates the correct exposure settings and trajectory to produce high-quality panoramic images. In CBCT exams, this functionality enables users to precisely define the field-of-view position on a low dose scout view, to reduce the risk of incorrect positioning. The software automatically calculates the exposure settings based on the patient's morphology.
Quadrant snapshotsQuadrant snapshots
Up to five intraoral images can now be generated and exported automatically from the CS 3600 acquisition software to the patient visit. The clinician is no longer required to take a snapshot, export, and then import to the patient visit. For additional information on quadrant snapshots, see the CS 3600 Family User and Installation Guide.
Intraoral screenshotsIntraoral screenshots
Intraoral screenshots selected in the CS 3600 acquisition software are now automatically saved in the patient visit.
Prosthetic-Driven Implant Planning Workflow (PDIP)Prosthetic-Driven Implant Planning Workflow (PDIP)
The prosthetic-driven implant planning workflow (PDIP) feature enables users to combine the CBCT scan and digital impression data. Doctors can plan the crown and implant on the same screen to ensure the implant is positioned correctly to achieve the ideal restoration.
