Selecting a Viewer

To set the default viewer for launching a model object:

  1. Click Preferences Button. The CS OMS Imaging Software Preferences window is displayed.

  2. Click the 3D tab.

  3. The menu options available on this tab depend on the 3D tools installed on your system. For more information, see Accessing 3D Tools.

  1. From the Model menu, select one of the following options:

  2. Mesh Viewer

  3. CS Model

  1. From the Restore menu, select one of the following options:

  2. Mesh Viewer

  3. CS Restore

  1. Click OK.

  2. If no viewer is installed, no options are available in the menus on the 3D tab and a message is displayed, indicating that no viewer is currently installed.

  3. The CS Model and CS Restore options require a license; the Mesh Viewer option does not.

After setting the default viewer, you can still use an alternative viewer to display objects.

To select a different viewer:

 

  1. Right click an object in a visit. The context menu is displayed.

  2. Select Launch Mesh Viewer to display the object using this viewer.

OR

Select Launch CS Model to display the object using this viewer.
