Getting Started > Understanding the Software
During the installation of your software, you can install 3D Tools to enable different viewers and manage 3D components. The available options depend upon the imaging hardware installed on your system.
For information on installing your software, see the CS OMS installation guide. To view the guide, from the Microsoft Windows Start menu, select Programs > CS OMS Imaging > Online Documentation > CS OMS Installation Guide. The installation guide is displayed.
To install 3D Tools:
Exit any applications running on the computer.
Double-click Install 3D Tools. The CS OMS Imaging install menu is displayed.
If you do not have the Install 3D Tools icon on your desktop, locate Setup3DTools.exe in the folder you unzipped after downloading the software. Double-click Setup3DTools.exe.
Select Install 3D Software. The 3D Tools Setup: Select Components window is displayed.
Select one or more of the following options:
CS 3D Viewer Suite
CS 3D Mesh Viewer
CS Film Composer
Click Install to install these components.
Click Next. The installation begins for each of the selected components.
If you have CS 3D Mesh Viewer, the CS Model software, or the CS Restore software installed, you can select these tools from the 3D tab in the Preferences window. For more information, see Selecting a Viewer.
