Replace a current patient’s smile with an image from the Smile library to simulate a treatment option.
To replace a patient’s smile:
While viewing the patient’s image chart, right-click the patient’s Frontal Smile image and select New Painting. The Add a new object window is displayed.
Select Smile from the drop-down list, and click OK. A smile painting is created.
Click .
Position the cursor in the image and click in the area just inside the patient’s lips.
Click multiple times to create a shape just inside the patient’s lips. A guideline is displayed showing the area you are selecting. Continue clicking until you have created a outline inside the patient’s lips.
After you have completed the outline, double-click on the image. The Import Smile window is displayed.
The default smile folder is displayed. If necessary, navigate to a different folder by selecting from the drop-down list in the Look in: field.

Select the smile image you are importing.
If the file is of a different type than the default smile file type, select All Images from the drop-down list in the Files of type: field.
Click Open. The smile image is imported into the current patient’s smile painting, represented by a rectangular outline.
Position the cursor over one of the corners of the box to click and drag the smile to position it correctly.
To choose a different smile, double-click inside the rectangular outline.
Position the cursor in the middle of the rectangular outline to resize the teeth to fit the mouth.
Click outside the rectangular outline. The change to the smile painting is now permanent.
