Densitometric Analysis Tool

Use the Densitometric Analysis tool to analyze the relative density in an image. Depending on the contrast, you can compare two points on the same image.

To analyze image density:

  1. On the Tool Box toolbar, click the Densitometric Analysis button. The Densitometric Analysis Window is displayed.

  2. Draw a section line on the image by clicking and dragging from an initial point and releasing at another point.

A graph of gray scales is displayed at each point on this line, with the values ranging from 0 to 255.

  1. To establish the gray scale at a given point, you must click and drag along the plotted line, until the cross is precisely positioned over the required point. The gray scale of the pixel marked by the cross is displayed continuously.

  2. To close the window, click Close.
