Use the Calibrate tool to establish the distance between two points in an image, ensuring accurate ruler measurements.
Calibration distance and calibration units:
If the images created in your practice are not marked with a standard length marker:
You can specify the measurement units and the calibration precision. For more information, see Setting Annotations Preferences.
Drawing and measurements made in the software are done under the responsibility of the user.
To calibrate an image:
Click .
Select an area of known distance in the image, and click the beginning point of the area you are measuring.
Click the end point of the area you are measuring. If you did not select Ask on the Annotations tab in your preferences, the measured area equals the distance you entered in the Calibration Settings field. The calibration is complete.
