Installation Prerequisites

Before installing the software, check that the computer meets the minimum System Requirements listed below, then:

Reboot your server PC if any pending restart is required.
Deactivate any antivirus software.

System Requirements

IMPORTANT:

CS Imaging is not supported under any Home version of Windows, if you attempt to install CS Imaging on these operating systems, Carestream Dental will not assist with any problems that may arise.
CS Imaging Version 8 cannot be used with Version 7. All PCs in a practice that use Imaging must have the same.

Network Requirements	In cases where the image database is located on a different computer than the CS Imaging installation, network requirements will be different: If no 3D volumes are present, then use at least 100 BaseT network bandwidth (100Mb/s) for a 2D environment. If 3D volumes are present, then use 1000 BaseT network bandwidth (1Gb/s).
