Selecting a Scanner

Before using the WinOMS software's scanning functionality, you must select your scanner. Do this when the scanner is first attached to the computer, and when you want to switch from one scanner to another when both are attached to the computer.

To select the scanner you want to use with the software:

  1. Select File > Select Scanner. The Select Source window is displayed.

  2. Highlight the scanner you want to use.

  3. Click Select.

  4. This is also the first place you should check when a scanner is not responding to the software. If the scanner not listed, the computer is not recognizing the presence of the scanner.
