Using the Notes Tab

The Notes tab within the Encounter window enables you to enter a note about a patient during an appointment. This note is viewed by a staff member who processes it from the Optical Ticket Queue window. When processed, you have the option to convert the note into a Progress Note, Contact Note, Alert, or not convert the note at all.

To enter a note on the Encounter window:

  1. On the Notes tab in the Encounter window, enter or write the information needed for this patient. As these notes are written, they are automatically converted to text.

  2. This works on a tablet PC only.

  1. Tap Finish. An Encounter window is displayed, indicating the successful queue of this actual encounter.
