The Lock button is a security feature within the point-of-care module enabling only those with a PIN code to access patient information. This feature can be used when the doctor is with a patient and has to leave the room. He can leave the tablet in the room and lock it prior to leaving.
To lock and unlock the point-of-care module:
To lock the module, tap Lock. The Lock window is displayed.
When the point-of-care module is locked, all vital information disappears from the window. To access information, you must unlock the module. Once locked, the only available button on the window is the Unlock button.
To unlock and return to the previous window, tap Unlock. The Enter PIN to Continue window is displayed.
In the Enter PIN to Continue window, enter your personal PIN code.
Tap Ok. The window that was in use before you locked the tablet is displayed.
The Lock button is displayed on every Point-of-Care window. This enables you to lock any window at a moment’s notice without having to return to a specific location to perform this task.
