Point-of-Care Module > Configuring and Setting Up the Point-of-Care Module
Before using appointment paths, you must set up the paths and stages. After this initial set up, the stages are displayed on the Monitor window in the module. This feature enables you to view the status of a patient throughout the process as well as note elapsed time for an appointment.
To set up appointment paths and stages:
Select Tables > Appointments > Paths. The Appointment Paths Search window is displayed.
Click New. The Appointment Path Data Entry window is displayed.
In the Path Description field, type a short description of this path.
In the Path Status fields, from 1 through 10, type each individual status for this path, if applicable.
A path must contain at least two status steps, and Path Status 1 and Path Status 2 cannot be left blank. You cannot have a blank status in the middle of the path.
