After completing all of the necessary tabs for this encounter, you must complete the encounter process.
To complete the encounter and print patient prescriptions:
Tap Finish to save the posted encounter. If prescription items have been selected during the encounter process, you are asked if you want to print the prescriptions.
Tap Yes to print the prescription items. The Process Patient Prescriptions window is displayed and lists the prescriptions.
Edit the frequency and quantity of the prescriptions by tapping on the designated line under the Quantity field and entering a new number.
To print the prescription, tap the Print checkbox on the designated row. Tap Print to display the Print Prescriptions window, where you can preview or print the prescriptions. All selected prescriptions are printed, removed from the encounter, and posted to the patient.
There is no search button on the Recall, Letters, or Rx tabs. You must configure the optical ticket if you want to see all of these items.
Click Ok on the Encounter window.
To complete the encounter without printing prescriptions:
Tap Finish to save the posted encounter. If you did not select prescriptions or if you decide not to print prescriptions, the Encounter window is displayed.
If a PTE was requested, it has a separate ticket number and is also displayed in the Encounter window.
Tap Ok to close the Encounter window.
