Creating a Plan for Treatment Visits

After you create treatment plan visits for patient, you can create treatment plans to help organize the visits.  For example, a Consult plan could contain an Initial Office Exam visit and a Panoramic X-ray visit.

You can create more than one treatment plan and let the patient choose which one to make active. You can also drag and drop items from one treatment plan visit to another.

To create a treatment plan:

  1. From the Treatment Plans window, right-click a treatment plan visit and select Create Treatment Plan. The Create Treatment Plan window is displayed with a list of treatment plan visits defined for the patient.

  1. Enter a name for the plan, or use the drop-down list to select an existing plan name.

  2. In the Status field, use the drop-down list to select the status of the plan.

  1. In the Include column, select the checkbox next to each visit to include in this plan. Deselect visits to exclude.

  2. You can drag and drop the visits up or down to rearrange the visit order.

  1. Click Ok.

Viewing Treatment Plan Details

To view the diagnosis codes associated with procedures in a treatment plan, click Details. The View Treatment Plan Details window is displayed.

    • This window lists procedures and the associated Dx codes, regardless of whether they have been performed or converted to charges. It cannot be edited. To edit Dx codes for a procedure, return to the Treatment Plan window.

Editing a Treatment Plan

To edit the details of a treatment plan, or to change the status, select the plan from the Treatment Plan Management window, and click .

Creating an Alternate Plan

To copy and edit an existing plan and use it as an alternate plan, right-click the plan you want to copy, and select Alternate Plan.

Deleting a Treatment Plan

To delete a treatment plan, select it from the list, right-click and select Delete Treatment Plan. This deletes the treatment plan, but not the visits associated with the plan.
