When you update the procedure codes to comply with the current CDT code set, you must also update specific codes that appear on insurance forms. Dental procedure codes that are used for insurance claims must have the letter D before the code.
To apply CDT changes, you must log in to WinOMS as Admin, or have security level permissions to perform this update.
To update an insurance plan:
Select Utilities> CDT Update > Update Insurance Plans. The Confirm Password window is displayed.
Type the password and click Ok. The Update Insurance Plans window is displayed.
Select Set Prefix setting on Dental Insurance Plans.
Click Ok.
