Insurance Procedures > Adding Preliminary Insurance Information
An insurance carrier is the insurance company that underwrites an insurance policy. To manage insurance carriers for your practice, use the Tables menu.
To add an insurance carrier:
Select Tables > Insurance > Carriers. The list of carriers is displayed.
Use the Search Criteria field to ensure the carrier is not already in the list.
Click New, and enter the Carrier ID and Carrier Name.
Click Save.
You can edit a Carrier Name, but not the Carrier ID. Click Save.
You can de-select the Active checkbox to deactivate the carrier for the office. Click Save.
To delete a carrier, select it from the list and click Delete.
You cannot delete an insurance carrier that is associated with an insurance plan.
