Managing Provider Schedules

You can set up each provider’s schedule to match their working hours for each day of the week. These hours can vary during different parts of the year.

To add a provider schedule:

  1. Select Scheduler > Setup Scheduler > Slot Setup. The Scheduler Slot Setup window is displayed.

  2. From the drop-down list in the Staff field, select the provider.

  3. From the drop-down list in the Office field, select the office location for which you are setting up the schedule.

  4. In the Dates to Setup field, enter the range of dates for which you are opening the schedule.

  5. To use a template, in the Template field select a template.

  6. In the Days to Include field, select the days of the week, along with the time for which the schedule is open each day.

  7. Click Set Up Days.

  8. To set up additional providers and offices, click Next.

To modify the schedule of a provider:

  1. Select Tables > Practice > Providers/Staff Members.

  2. Search for the provider or staff member.

  3. Select a provider or staff member and click Edit.

  4. On the Scheduling tab, select Use Templates.

  5. Click Ok. A message is displayed, confirming that appointments have been moved from column setup to template setup.

  6. Click Ok.

To delete a provider schedule:

  1. Select Scheduler > Setup Scheduler > Slot Setup. The Scheduler Slot Setup window is displayed.

  2. From the drop-down list in the Staff field, select the provider.

  3. From the drop-down list in the Office field, select the office location for which you are removing dates from the schedule.

  4. In the Days to Include section, enter the range of dates for which you are closing the schedule.

  5. Select the days of the week, along with the time for which the schedule is to be closed.

  6. Click Close Specified Days.
