Checking the Status of a Claim

If you have a WinOMS eVerifications account, you can check the status of a submitted claim from the Patient window. This feature is only available for electronic claims that have bill dates, and for plan payers that support the claim status feature.

To access a claim's status:

  1. In the Patient window, select Workspace > Claims. The Claims tab is displayed.

  2. Select the claim for which you want the status.

  3. Right-click the claim and select Claim Status from the menu. The eVerifications Service window is displayed for the claim.

  4. If you do not have an active eVerifications account, contact a Carestream Dental representative.
