To verify whether or not a patient is a CareCredit account holder or check the amount of available credit, use the CareCredit lookup windows. You can also use the lookup windows to obtain account information when making a payment or refund and the patient does not have his CareCredit card with him.
Note: A CareCredit icon displayed in color in the upper-right of the Patient window indicates that the patient is a CareCredit customer; an icon displayed in B&W indicates that the patient is not a CareCredit customer.
To perform a lookup by Social Security Number or Zip Code when the patient's CareCredit card is not available:
Select the patient or account from the list, click CareCredit Integration on the Express Bar, and select Lookup by SSN and Zip. The CareCredit Account Lookup window is displayed.
Select the provider, and click Lookup. The Lookup CareCredit Account window is displayed.
Do one of the following:
If the Social Security Number and zip code fields are populated:
If the Social Security Number and zip code fields are not populated:
Click Cancel.
To perform a lookup by CareCredit account number:
Select the patient or account from the list, click CareCredit Integration on the Express Bar, and select Lookup by Account No. The CareCredit Account Lookup window is displayed.
Select the provider, and click Lookup. The Lookup CareCredit Account window is displayed.
Type the account number in the field and click Lookup. The CareCredit Account Lookup window is displayed, with the account number and amount available fields populated.
Click Cancel.
