Posting a Patient Cash Payment

When your office receives a single cash, credit card, or check payment for a patient’s balance, you can post the payment directly to the patient’s record.

To post a cash payment:

  1. Select an option:

The patient Transactions List window is displayed.

  1. Select Payments.

The Payments window is displayed.

  1. Select Personal in the Select Operation section. The Payments - Personal Payment window is displayed.

  2. Select the payment code from the Code drop-down list, type the cash payment amount, and verify the date.

  3. Press Tab.

  4. To add a note, select the Notes column for the transaction and type the information.

  5. Click Post.
