Understanding the Enhanced Workspace

The Enhanced Workspace:

• Is the default workspace view

• Prevents window clutter

• Provides one-click access to previously active windows

Much of the Enhanced Desktop Workspace is divided into two panes:

• The left pane contains the Express bar. Each window opened during the workday is represented by a button displayed in the Current Views section of the bar. The button for the active window is displayed in a distinct color to indicate that the window is selected.

Window and feature-specific commands are displayed in the Options section of the bar. All the operations and functions that can be performed from the active window are displayed in this section of the bar. A button, enabling access to the CS Imaging software package from any window, is displayed in the General Operations section of the bar. You can also close all software windows from this section of the bar.

• By default, the right pane is the client area. The active window is displayed in the client area.

The following are displayed at the bottom of the workspace in the Status bar:

• Person currently logged in

• System date and time

• Operating mode

• Reminder Notes for Today text

• Batch icons:

  Icons in the status bar indicate the presence of batched electronic statements, letters, reports, claims, statements, and memos for today. If the icons are not visible, floating over the empty space displays a message stating "No Batched Letters," "No Overdue Reports," and so on. Clicking on an icon displays the window associated with completing the particular task.

  The following icons can display:

  • E:Electronic Statements—Click this icon to display the Electronic Services window (Insurance > Electronic Services).

  • L:Batched Letters—Click this icon to display the Letter Expert Merge window (Experts > Letter Expert > Merge All Batched Letters).

  • R:Overdue Reports—Click this icon to run overdue scheduled reports (Reports > Report Manager > Run Scheduled Reports).

  • C: Batched Claims—Click this icon to display the Insurance Batch Run Setup window (Insurance > Print Batched Claims).

  • S: Batched Statements—Click this icon to display the Statements in Batch window (Reports > Accounting > Statements > Batch Count).

  • M:Reminder Notes for Today—Click this icon to display the Today's Memos window (List > Today's Memos).
