Adding a Referring Doctor

To add a referring doctor:

  1. Select an option:

  2. Select List > Referring Dr.

  3. In any window, press Ctrl + F.

  4. Click List Referring Providers on the Power Bar.

The REFERRING DR List window is displayed.

  1. Click Add. The REFERRING DR window is displayed. The identification number for the new referring doctor is displayed in the ID field.

  2. Type the doctor's degree in the Degree field.

  3. Type the first name, last name, middle name, and title of the doctor in the appropriate fields.

  4. Type the address, phone number, provider identification, license number, Blue Cross/Blue Shield number, Medicare identification number, Medicaid identification number, Social Security number, tax identification number, and national provider ID for the doctor in the appropriate fields.

  5. Select the specialty, sex, and referral category using the drop-down lists and click OK.

  6. The list of available categories is based on the categories you created for use in the Referral Source Analysis report. For more information, see Creating Referral Categories.

  1. Click Additional Info. The Additional Info tab of the REFERRING DR window is displayed.

  2. If the referring doctor has a second office in a different location, type the address and phone number information in the Additional Address Information section.

  1. To include the doctor’s referred patient list in the referred doctor patient list of the Palm organizer, select Include Patients referred with PracticeToGo entry.

  2. Click Contact Info. The Contact Info tab of the REFERRING DR window is displayed.

  3. Type the fax number, alternate phone number, and e-mail address for the referring doctor’s office in the fields.

  4. Type the phone numbers and e-mail address for the contact person within the referring doctor’s office in the fields and click OK.

  5. Click Close twice.
