Running the Define User Quick Letters Utility

Run this utility to create up to 10 user-defined quick letters. These letters are stored in the \CUSTOM directory under the names USER1.LTR, USER2.LTR, USER3.LTR, and so on.

To define user quick letters:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Customize > Define User Quick Letters. The User Defined Quick Letters window is displayed.

5. Type the quick letter name in the appropriate field. This title is displayed in the Quick Letters window accessed from the Patient and Patient List windows.

6. Type up to 20 lines of text in the body of the letter.

7.  Click OK.

8. Restart the software.
