Creating User-Defined Charting Paths

You can create up to three customized charting paths. Paths are workstation specific.

To create a user-defined charting path:

  1. In the Chart for window, select Perio > Options. The Perio Properties window is displayed.

  2. Click the Path tab. The settings that enable you to control which pockets are charted and the charting path are displayed at the bottom of the window.

  3. If you create and select a custom path, it is the Auto Advance default.

  1. Select the pockets from the Pockets To Measure section of the window.

Example:Example:To chart pockets 2, 3, and 5, deselect pockets 1,4, and 6.

  1. Select the path in the Tooth Paths section of the window, type the path, and select the pocket. When you type the path, you must indicate the path surface and side information. You can use the following information:

  2. FL:FL:The path starts on the facial surface and moves toward the left side of the mouth.

  3. FR:FR:The path starts on the facial surface and moves toward the right side of the mouth.

  4. LL:LL:The path starts on the lingual surface and moves toward the left side of the mouth.

  5. LR:LR:The path starts on the lingual surface and moves toward the right side of the mouth.

  1. Click OK.
