Tracking Patient Referrals

You can track patients referred to your practice by an existing patient, associate the referred and referring patient records, and view a list of patients referred by a specific patient.

The number of patients referred by each patient is displayed in the Ref’d column in the Patient List window. This column is updated each time a new referral is recorded.

To view the patients referred by a patient, select an option:

• In the Patient List window:Select the appropriate patient and select Other Patient Management > Other Patients Referred from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

• In the Patient window:Select Other Patient Management > Other Patients Referred from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

The Referred Patients List window is displayed. The patients referred to your practice by the patient are displayed in the list.

From the Referred Patients List window, you can view the following for any patient in the list:

• Appointments

• Treatment plans

• Medical histories

• Images

• Prescriptions

• HIPAA acknowledgements

• Patient pictures

• Account records

• Documents

• Budget plans

• Contacts

For any referred patient, you can also:

• Call referred patients

• Print letters for

• Make appointments for

• View the claim history
