Getting Started > Using Profiles
System profiles can be used in two ways:
You can create a system profile that functions as the default in your office. All list windows will initially display the same way for all employees, but each employee can set up individual profiles, if desired.
You can create a system profile that overrides all other profile types. All list windows display the same way for all employees, and employees cannot make any changes.
You must have the Profile Administrator security permission to create or modify system profiles. The Profile Administrator security permission is located in the Miscellaneous security permissions list in the Rights By User window. The permission is also available in the Users By Rights window. This security permission should be assigned only to the user with the highest security permissions (typically User ID 1) and the office manager.
