Running the Edit System File Utility

Run this utility to edit the system file.

• Do not run this utility unless you are instructed to by a technical support representative.

To edit the system file:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select File > Edit System File or select Edit System File. The Edit System File window is displayed.

5. Type the correct information in the appropriate fields.

6. After you have made the corrections, click OK.

7. When the technical support representative tells you to, restart the software.
