Selecting from a List While Editing

When you are adding or editing a record, you often need to access other records to locate pertinent information.

Example:Example:To change a patient’s default doctor, you need to select information from the provider database while working in the patient database.

Using the preceding example, while editing the patient record:

1. Select the doctor from the Doctor drop-down list.  The Providers List window is displayed. The current provider is highlighted.

2. Double-click a provider as the patient’s doctor.  The name of the doctor is displayed in the Doctor field in the patient record.
