Running the Edit Scheduler Parameters Utility

Run this utility to change the settings established during the scheduler initialization. You can change the number of operatories and time units for your practice in this utility. You should have a valid backup before running this utility.

• Do not run this utility unless you are instructed to by a technical support representative.

To edit scheduler parameters:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Maintenance > Edit Scheduler Parameters. The Edit Scheduler Parameters window is displayed.

5. Type the number of operatories in the Number of Operatories field and select the number of time slots from the Number of Time Slots drop-down list.

6. Click OK. A message asks you whether to run a backup.

8. If you have a valid backup:Click Yes. A message informs you that the changes are saved. Click OK.

9. If you do not have a valid backup:Click No. The Edit Scheduler Parameters window is displayed. Click Cancel.

8. When the technical support representative tells you to, restart the software.
