Managing Pharmacies, Prescriptions, Labs, and Lab Cases > Handling Lab Cases
When you are scheduling a patient appointment for a patient that has an open lab case associated with his or her patient record, a message asks you to display the open lab cases. Click Yes. The Lab Cases List window is displayed. All open lab cases for the patient are displayed in the list.
From the Daily Appointments window:

The Lab Case has been returned icon:The Lab Case has been returned icon:
When you are confirming an appointment in the Daily Appointments window for a patient that has open lab cases that have not been returned from the lab, a message asks you to display the unreturned lab cases.
From this window, you can:
Reschedule the patient
Verify that the appointment is confirmed
The open lab case associated with the appointment is displayed in the confirmation report.
When you are viewing a list of patient appointments in the Patient Appointments window for a patient who has an open lab case associated with his or her record, ***Pending Labs*** is displayed preceding the patient appointment list.
