Tracking Patients in the Office > Handling InOffice Transactions
After the provider has completed the treatment and the patient is returned to the waiting room:
Select the appointment.
Select Change Location from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.
W is displayed in the Loc column, the amount of time that the patient was in the operatory is displayed in the Op Time column, and the text for the patient appointment is displayed in blue.
After the provider or front office employee selects Complete from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu in the ELECTRONIC ROUTER window, Complete is displayed in the Code column, and the text in each column of the row that contains the patient appointment information is displayed in red to indicate that the patient can now be checked out.
If the appointment card is posted from the charting module, Posted is displayed in the Code column.
