Refilling a Prescription

To refill a prescription:

1. Select an option:

2. In the Patient List window:Select the patient and select Clinical Management > Prescription History from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

3. In the Patient window:Select Clinical Management > Prescription History from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

4. In the patient chart:Hover over the Prescriptions section of the patient banner and click the link, or click the Prescription button on the Common toolbar.

5. In the Account List window:Select the patient and select Patients from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu. The patients associated with the account are displayed in the Patient List window. Select Clinical Management > Prescription History from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

6. In the Account window:Select Patients from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu. The patients associated with the account are displayed in the Patient List window. Select Clinical Management > Prescription History from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu.

The patient’s prescriptions are displayed in the Prescriptions for List window.

2. Select the prescription to refill from the list and select Refill from the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu. The Prescriptions for window is displayed.

3. Type the number of refills in the Refills field.

4. Click OK. The Prescription Options window is displayed.

6. To use the auto dialer to call the pharmacy:Select Call Preferred Pharmacy and click OK. The Pharmacy Phone Numbers window is displayed. Click Dial.

• If the patient has no preferred pharmacy, this option is disabled.

2. To call another pharmacy:Select Choose another Pharmacy and click OK. The Pharmacy List window is displayed. Double-click the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Phone Numbers window is displayed. Click Dial.

3. To print the prescription:Select Print Prescription and click OK. The Output Options window is displayed. Select the output option and click OK.
