Running the Reset Scheduler Default Book Utility

Run this utility to reset the default book to the office book displayed in the Scheduler Books List window and to properly use the auto scheduler. A default book is set for users and for the practice.

To view the default book setting for the practice:

1. From the software, select File > Practice.

The Practice window is displayed.

2. Click the Office Hours tab.

The information is displayed in the Default Book field.

To view the default book for users:

1. Select System > Change System Settings > System Security and select an item on the submenu.

2. When the System Security window is displayed, click Rights By User. Double-click the appropriate user.

To reset the scheduler default book:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Maintenance > Reset Scheduler Default Book. The Reset Scheduler Default Book window is displayed.

5. Click Yes. A message informs you the process is complete.

6. Click OK.

7. Restart the software.
