Running the Instant Recall System Setup Utility

Run this utility to set up the instant recall system.

To run this utility:

1. Instruct all users to exit the software.

2. Select Start > All Programs > SoftDent Software > SoftDent Utilities. The SoftDent Login window is displayed.

3. Type your user name and password and click OK. The SoftDent Utilities window is displayed.

4. Select Maintenance > Instant Recall Codes Setup > Instant Recall System Setup. The Instant Recall Setup window is displayed.

5. Type the name, hot key letter, and number of months in the fields.

6. Type the codes that trigger an instant recall in the Codes that set the Normal Recall section. These codes are associated with procedures used to recall adults and children for routine preventive visits.

7. If you use a user-defined recall system, type the name, hot key letter, and number of months in the fields, and type the codes that trigger a user-defined recall in the Codes that set the User-Defined Recall section.

8. Set default procedures for a separate class of dental care, such as orthodontics or periodontics in this section.

8. Select the appropriate options in the Options section.

9. Click OK. A message informs you that the process is complete and asks you to exit the utility.

10. Click OK.

11. Restart the software.
