Printing User-Selected Labels

In addition to generating and printing user-selected reports, you can generate and print user-selected labels.

To print user-selected labels:

  1. Select Reports > Patient > Labels > User-Selected or Reports > Account > Labels > User-Selected. The Output Options window is displayed.

  2. Select from the following:

  3. To print individual labels on a label printer, select Printer.

  4. To print labels on a laser printer, select Laser Label File.

Click OK. The Selection Criteria window is displayed.

  1. Verify the selection criteria. If necessary, set up the label criteria, following the steps used to create a user-selected report. See Creating User-Selected Reports. Click OK. The software searches the database for patients who match the specified criteria and displays a status window, indicating the number of patients searched and the number of matches found.

  2. Click OK. The User-Selected Labels window is displayed.

  3. In the Options section, click the checkboxes to have the hygiene recall date, the next appointment date, or both, display on the labels. In the Lines Per Label field, specify the number of lines per label (the recommended default setting is 6). Click OK.

  4. If you selected the Printer option, the Printer Selection window is displayed. Verify the selected printer, and click OK.

If you selected the Laser Label File option, select Reports > Print Laser Labels. The Laser Labels window is displayed. The number of labels to be printed is displayed in the Count column.

Select the type of label you want to print, and click Print Selected on the Options section of the Express bar or Options menu. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes.

The Print window is displayed. Verify the selected printer and click OK. A message is displayed, asking if the labels should be cleared. Verify that the labels have printed correctly and click Yes.
