Performing Periodontal Tissue Exams

To perform a periodontal tissue exam:

On the Exams tab in the Charting for window, click Perio Tissue Exam on the Patient Exams toolbar. If no periodontal tissue exam exists for the patient, skip to step 3.
Select an option:
To create a new exam:To create a new exam:Click New Exam on the Exam Options toolbar.
To edit the existing exam:To edit the existing exam:Click Edit Exam on the Exam Options toolbar.

Select an option:
To indicate normal tissue color, contour, texture, and consistency:To indicate normal tissue color, contour, texture, and consistency:Click All OK. The appropriate options are selected.
Select the tissue color in the Color section.
Select the tissue contour in the Contour section.
Select the tissue texture in the Texture section.
Select the tissue consistency in the Consistency section.
